Why does it take minutes to execute my open or close commands?
Wi-Fi lets you control your chicken coop door from anywhere in the world, but the Wi-Fi feature is power hungry.
To keep the chicken coop door power-efficient enough to run on a 4000mAh battery, we made a trade off: the device does not stay connected to Wi-Fi all the time.
Instead, the chicken coop door connects to the internet every 10 minutes to check whether there are commands waiting to be executed.
If commands are waiting, the chicken coop door executes them and disconnects from Wi-Fi after execution is finished.
If no commands are waiting, the chicken coop door disconnects from Wi-Fi immediately and waits for the next 10-minute Wi-Fi check.
